Dr. Somnath Bava

Dr. Somnath Ganeshnath Bava, is working as Librarian at SSR IMR, SIlvassa from 2008. He has broad experience of Twenty years as a Librarian at various Institutes of repute. He has completed Ph.D. in library and Information science from HNGU, Patan in 2022. He has qualified the UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) for Assistant Professor in Library and Information Science in December 2015, MSET (Maharashtra State Eligibility Test) and GSET (Gujarat State Eligibility Test) in December 2013. 

He completed M.Phil in 2008 and M.L.I.Sc with first class distinction in 2005. Dr. Bava won best library activities award in 2023 from “Society of Library and information development Association” Chennai. He has presented/published 10 research papers in different types National/ International level Seminars/Conferences with contributions to ISBN publications and published 2 research papers in national/International peer review/SCOPUS Index Journals. He is familiar with library integrated software such as Koha, Librarian, and Soul. His current research interests include Digital Library, Open Sources software, Web-based Learning and Education, Web 3.0, Knowledge Management, Virtual Library etc
